Kroghøj Solar Park, located north of Vildbjerg, Denmark, has an installed capacity of 44 MWp and will deliver around 52 GWh annually. This equals the consumption of 13,000 households. The park covers approximately 78 hectares.
In 2025, Endra entered into an agreement to acquire a 70% ownership share in Kroghøj Solar Park from Ænergy, the company that developed and constructed the project. Jysk Energi and KP Sol & Vind are co-owners and active project partners.
The solar park reached COD in the summer of 2025.
In August 2026, Kroghøj BESS entered commercial operation, marking Endra’s first battery storage project in operation. The 20 MW / 40 MWh battery is co-located with the 44 MWp solar park and shares the same grid connection.
The battery can store electricity when solar production is high and deliver energy and balancing services when demand increases or the power system needs it. By combining solar generation and battery storage through a shared grid connection, Kroghøj can make more efficient use of existing grid capacity while providing greater flexibility to the power system.
Kroghøj is among Denmark’s first large-scale hybrid projects combining solar power and battery storage connected to the distribution grid.
