Hankoniemi solar and battery park marks Endra’s first investment in Finland and an important step in the companys ambition to become a leading Nordic producer of solar power. Located in Hanko, in southern Finland, the project will transform a former parking area for imported vehicles into renewable energy production.
The solar and battery park will have an installed solar capacity of approximately 35 MWp and is expected to generate more than 35 GWh of renewable electricity annually. The project combines solar power generation with battery energy storage (BESS), contributing to increased energy security and locally produced renewable electricity.
A key strengt of the project is its responsible land use. By developing a previously developed greyfield site, the project avoids impacts on pristine nature, biodiversity and agricultural land.

The project has already secured Endra’s first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in Finland through a long-term agreement with Faerch Group. Approximately 60 per cent of Faerch Group’s electricity consumption in Finland will be supplied by the Hankoniemi project.
