Endra with approved permit application for Nesse Solar Power Plant

In January 2024, Endra submitted a permit application for Nesse Solar Power Plant with an installed capacity of 11.2 MWp. Yesterday, the company received approval from NVE. This is Endra’s second approved permit application, making the company one of only two Norwegian developers to have been granted multiple permits.

Solar power and agriculture provide dual land use

The solar park project has been carefully planned together with the landowner to create a sustainable balance between energy production and agriculture, by combining solar power generation with grazing for small livestock and achieving dual land use.

The project is unique as it will allow sheep to graze in and around the solar park. “This could become Norway’s first solar power plant to combine agriculture and solar energy in a sustainable way,” says project manager Espen Nordtveit.

“Endra is very pleased to have received the permit for Nesse. With the permit now in place, we are moving forward with the process of maturing the project towards an investment decision,” says Kristian Gautesen, CEO of Endra.
