Kroghøj Solar Park
Kroghøj Solar Park, located north of Vildbjerg, Denmark, has an installed capacity of 44 MWp and will deliver around 52 GWh annually. This equals the consumption of 13,000 households. The park covers approximately 78 hectares.
In 2025, Endra entered into an agreement to acquire a 70% ownership share in Kroghøj Solar Park from Ænergy, the company that developed and constructed the project. At the same time, Endra committed to mature and realize a BESS project in connection to the plant. Jysk Energi and KP Sol & Vind are the co-owners and active project partners.
The PV-plant reached COD in the summer of 2025.
Expanding with Large-Scale Battery Storage
As the next phase, a large battery storage system will be built in the park. This will make it possible to store solar energy and deliver electricity when demand is highest, as well as provide various ancillary services to stabilize and improve the quality of the power grid. The combination of solar and battery also enhances the flexibility of the energy system and serves as an important demonstration of what future energy solutions may look like.
